Consulting & Appearances  

I frequently hold LA-based screenwriting workshops and make academic speaking appearances (USC School of Cinematic Arts, NYU Tisch School of the Arts; Brooks Institute Film School in Santa Barbara; Goddard College in Vermont; Harvard Bookstore in Cambridge; to delegations from Nigeria and Shanghai).

I've lectured for universities and film associations throughout the world, including: The Alexander Mitta Film School in Moscow, Russia; the Masters in Screenwriting at the University of Los Andes in Santiago, Chile; La Fémis film school in Paris; University of Navarra in Pamplona, Spain; Met Film School in London; the Shanghai Film Art Academy in China; the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, the Accademia Nazionale del Cinema in Bologna; as well as a seminar and master class in Vilnius, Lithuania, sponsored by AVACA. 

Both my workshops and lectures are designed to be highly interactive, and when working overseas I typically work alongside a real-time translator. 

As a Script Consultant, I've worked for Sony Pictures Television, Columbia Pictures (2004-2007), and Avenue Pictures (2007); and on Goya-award-winning “The Outlaw” (for Warner Bros. and El Toro Pictures, Spain, 2010) and “Bruc” (El Toro/Universal Pictures, 2010).  

I've also consulted with many “A-list” screenwriters on many Hollywood blockbusters and indies, including “Jurassic Park” and “Stir of Echoes.”
